For example, what happens when the story involves teasing and most of it has a character engaged in teasing? Preschoolers are more likely to imitate teasing rather than learn from the lesson against it.
I like to use dollhouse play as one part of a multi-pronged approach when a child is experiencing something new or anxiety-provoking. Remember that a planned visit to a doctor or dentist, visiting a new school, or even going on a trip can create misconceptions and fear for a young child.
Ok, so you’re convinced that too much screen time is bad for kids. Now what?
Play outside! Don’t wait for perfect weather to teach your children to love the outdoors. Go to a park or just play in the backyard.
